the basics

video editor, colorist, videographer, artsy fartsy casual photographer (and espresso enthusiast), based in Pittsburgh, PA

who i’ve worked for

i've worked on projects for a variety of brands, including Dick's Sporting Goods, the American Advertising Federation, BBBS, the World Trade Centers Association, Dollar Bank, the Trade Institute of Pittsburgh, Covalent, as well as several agencies, smaller businesses and non-profits on the local scale. for an overview of notable projects i’ve been on, you can see my resumé here

jack of all trades

currently i specialize in editing, but i’m always more than willing to color grade, do schnazzy camera operator stuff, other camera department work, photography, and even motion graphics (if that’s something you really want from me)

despite my more recent prioritization in editing gigs, i’ve always had an interest in video and photo en masse, so when other opportunities do come up i’m more than happy to talk

why i like video

as a zoomer, whose formative years aligned with the creation of YouTube, it only makes sense that my desire to create encompasses video. as i got older and my interest evolved to include both the generic UGC of YouTube and the art-form of filmmaking in general, from a very young age i obsessed (and still do obsess) over filmmaking techniques, editing styles, and colors utilized in my favorite artistically-minded content

reception

always having a strong desire to create, paired with my detail-obsessed mind and strange aptitude for creative skills, someone has once said “you are going to be why i can’t find work”

other words include “best editor i know,” “has an eye that can turn any scene into art,” and “why that shade of yellow”

the deal with photo

i like taking pictures sometimes *snappy snap snap*

although i maintain my position as a casual shooter, professional gigs do come up from time to time which i’m always more than happy to take on

my vibe

quirky and quiet — my dad says i’m like a cat (unless you don’t like cats, in that case i’m not like a cat)

i can hyper-fixate on tasks and have to keep water and little snacks by my side when doing things otherwise i will not eat until my stomach hurts or i get dizzy because i’ve only had two slices of toast, one glass of water, and a cup of coffee (in that order). does this actually help? not really — i still won’t pull myself away from whatever work i’m doing

i make music

i make music (not for video, i just make music and wanted to say that) — but i make ebm and italo disco-influenced techno and electro (when going solo) and new wave (when i want to sing and have my friend play the guitar over it). i dj sometimes too

coffee nerd

i really enjoy fruit-forward, berry-like, light roast specialty coffees (if you think about it, this is video-related)
